CPU

Central Processing Unit(CPU ) :-

Famously known as “The Brain of Computer” .CPU is one of the most important parts of the computer so it is called heart of the computer.Generally, Processors and Microprocessor of the computers are called CPU.It controls all internal and external devices, performs arithmetic and logic operation

Parts of CPU :-
There are three parts of CPU. They are as follows:-

  • Control Unit(CPU) :-

The Control Unit controls the working of all parts of a computers. It controls all the internal and external parts of all the computers and directs them to perform all the tasks or activities.

  • Arithmetic Control Unit(ALU) :-

The Arithmetic Logical Unit performs arithmetic (like Addition , Subtraction Multiplication & Division) And Logical Operations.

  • Memory Unit(MU):-

Memory Unit  acts a internal memory and stores data and information. It has two types. They are as follows:-

 i. RAM :-
Random Access Memory, often abbreviated as RAM, is a hardware element of a computer where programs, operating systems and data that’s currently being used is stored so that the processor can retrieve it quickly. .It is a permanent memory.

ii. ROM :-
ROM, on the other hand, is a type of memory where data has been prerecorded and contains the programming that helps the computer ‘boot up’. It is a temporary memory.
