Little Maria Del Carmen also known as Carmen was a the only one daughter of  Roberto and Rosa Soto. She was beautiful, kind, loving girl who looks like a doll. Her habits and behaviors is liked by all  the villagers.. She was sick from the day of her birth and when she was four she dies. After that, all the villagers came to attend her funeral.
Roberto and Rosa Soto was greatly shocked by the death of Little Carmen as she was their only one daughter. Rosa gave away all the playing things and clothing of little Carmen to a priest of another village so that she could forget her and that things is used by another child.
Rosa said that there was no reasons to save them as she was convinced with doctor’s statements that she would never able to give birth to another baby. One day Roberto asked Rosa about the special doll of Carmen but she said that she didn’t know about that doll. They searched the doll in the nook and corner of the home and the village, they asked their neighbour but they couldn’t find the lost doll.
However, the Rosa give birth to another children on the first death anniversary of little Carmen which make them to forget about the doll. They named the baby  ‘Evangelina’ which means ‘good news’. The most surprising and interesting fact is that Evangelina looks exactly as Maria Del Carmen. Her characters, behaviors and appearance is same as Carmen had. It looks like god recovered her daughter and sent her back to Soto family inform of Evangelina.
When Evangelina was four , she told her mother that she had been sick for a long time. Rosa convinced her that it was her elder sister Carmen. Evangelina repeated the same thing to her aunt and she claimed that she knew about the doll and where it is? After that Evangelina took her mother and aunt to the backyard and told her mother to dig under the tree. Very soon they found the lost doll. Her aunt ask in detail about it and she said that a real nice man  woke up her and he didn’t allow her taking the doll so he helped  her to put the doll under the tree.
